People raising their hands to ask a question

On Executive Presence:

What is Executive Presence?

Executive Presence is about how you act, how you communicate and how you appear and describes the overall impression and impact a person has in a professional setting.

I am already a successful professional. Why do I need Executive Presence?

Maybe you don’t. And that’s ok. Some people may naturally possess charisma or certain qualities associated with executive presence; however, the development of these skills can benefit even the most experienced and successful leaders, especially if they are transitioning into new roles or industries, or facing new challenges or opportunities. It is not about changing who you are, but rather enhancing how you support yourself to present your whole persona in order to inspire trust, influence, and excel further in your leadership journey.

On Business Etiquette:

Etiquette is overrated and pretentious. Things have become more casual in professional environments. Why do I even need etiquette training as a professional?

Again, it’s ok if you feel you don’t need etiquette training. However, etiquette is far from being pretentious; it's not about rigid rules, but rather about certain practices that show respect and consideration for others to help you foster meaningful connections, and build a positive reputation.

On Personal Image Consulting:

My company dress code is already very detailed and specific. Why do I need a personal image consultant?

While a company dress code provides guidelines, a personal image consultant offers tailored advice to elevate your overall professional presence. The goal is to enhance your visual identity and boost your confidence by aligning your appearance with your unique personality and goals as well as your company's culture.

On Coaching:

At my level of knowledge and expertise, I already know what I need to do. Isn’t coaching a waste of resources (time and money)?

“Everyone needs a coach”, said Bill Gates in his famous TED talk. And various high caliber athletes (who already know their sport well) swear by the results that can be brought about by having a coach. So, let’s set the record straight: Coaching isn't about telling people what to do, it is about enabling them to find their own solutions by bringing an external perspective, identifying blind spots, and suggesting tools that help them excel further.

Just about everyone out there is involved in coaching one way or another. How can I know who to trust?

It's true, the coaching landscape can be overwhelming. When seeking coaching, focus on credentials, experience, and certification by reputable organizations like the ICF. Trust can be built through referrals, testimonials, and planning an initial conversation where you gauge rapport and the coach’s understanding of your unique needs.

How can I find a coach who knows my line of work and can tell me what to do and how to do it?

If you want someone who knows your industry well so that they can provide solutions, then you are probably looking for a mentor who can provide direct guidance.

A coach, on the other hand, doesn't provide ready-made solutions. Coaching focuses on empowering you to uncover insights and develop strategies through guided self-discovery with the use of carefully selected probing questions and tools.

On Systemic Constellations:

How can the Systemic Approach provide support in my personal and professional development as well as my organisation’s success?

Systemic constellations revolve around understanding the intricate dynamics within systems – be it families, a team, organization, or industry. They unveil hidden patterns and relationships that impact these systems. By addressing these, often overlooked patterns, people can see (three-dimensionally, as we say) what blocks their path towards success in any area of their lives and careers.

On Language Learning:

Making mistakes does not stop me from getting my job done, so why should I have language lessons?

Indeed, many accomplished leaders have non-native English skills and succeed admirably because they are valued for their skills beyond language. The point isn't about achieving perfection or emulating native speakers and it isn't about erasing your unique linguistic traits either.

It is about enhancing your ability to express complex concepts with fluency and accuracy in order to reduce the chance of misunderstandings and ensure that your message resonates powerfully in a global professional landscape, fostering deeper connections and enhancing your leadership impact.

I don't have time to "go back to school”. Can I have a "quick fix" solution?

Yes, quick gains are possible, since a well-trained instructor can design hands-on, real-life experiences to enhance language acquisition and immerse you in practical situations such as conversations, case studies, etc. allowing you to apply language skills in context. This approach emphasizes active participation (the opposite of passive, teacher-centered learning), and enables you to build practical language abilities through authentic interactions.

However, you need to remember that language mastery is achieved over time and will require some level of long-term commitment on your part (depending on your level), even if you only devote a few minutes per day or hours per week.
